Rudranath Trekking.
RUDRANATH TREK
Hello Guys I am NIKHIL PANT and today I am going to tell you about the RUDRANATH TREK and sharing my personal experiences also.
So first I am tell you where is rudranath trek ??
Rudranath is a HINDU TEMPLE dedicated to GOD SHIVA, located in the GARHWAL HIMALAYAN mountains in UTTARAKHAND.
In this trek, we learned that we had covered two temples amongst the famous Panch Kedar pilgrimage. The Panch Kedar pilgrimage route comprises five Kedar temples – Kalpeshwar, Rudranath, Tungnath, Madhyamaheshwar, and Kedarnath.
Rudranath temple is the toughest one to reach in comparison with other temples of Panch Kedar. The Himalayan peaks adding to the glory of Rudranath are Nanda Devi, Trishul and Nanda Ghunti.
SO NOW I WILL TELL YOU WHY I CHOOSE RUDRANATH TREK FOR TREKKING :
The celestial temple is snuggled inside the rhododendron forests and the alpine meadows. The exhilarating trek to Rudranath temple can be either commenced from Sagar village, Helang or Urgam village. The trekking route to Rudranath temple offers awe-inspiring views of the diversified beauty of nature and the deep gorges that make the place all the way more interesting. RUDRANATH temple is the toughest one to reach in comparison with other temples of panch kedar but it is worth the pain as one can see the glorious Nanda Devi, Trishul & Nanda Ghunti Peaks. The trail passes through the wild grassy meadows, the thick woodlands and offers awe-inspiring views of the HIMALAYAS.

Rudranath History and Legend
The temple was constructed way back in 8th Century AD.
According to the legends of Panch Kedar, this temple shelters the face of Shiva. There is a small rectangular space just outside the sanctum sanctorom. The deity is a Swyam Bhuva (Self Appeared) Shivalinga shaped like a human face formed by the projection of a huge rock. This face has a serene smile and a gaze of pure benevolence in the all-seeing eyes. Measuring about 3 feet from the chin to the top of the jatas, a white cloth remains bound tightly on the crown of Lord Shiva.
The Rudranath temple is believed to be established by the Pandavas, the heroes of the Hindu epic Mahabharata. Legend has it that the Pandavas came to the Himalayan mountains in search of God Shiva, to redeem them of the sins of killing in the epic Kurukshetra war. God Shiva did not want to meet them and escaped in form of a bull in the ground and reentered in parts in the Panch Kedar places: the hump raising in Kedarnath, the arms appearing in Tunganath, the navel and stomach surfacing in Madhyamaheswar, the face showing up at Rudranath and the hair and the head appearing in Kalpeshwar.
WAY TO RUDRANATH TREK :-
We were three people on trekking,wo could not walk so much in the mountains because all three of us did not have the habit of walking and climbing in the mountains and then we hired three horses.
We started trekking from SAGAR village for the rudranath temple, there are three trek to go to the RUDRANATH temple in which the most difficult track is from SAGAR village. Trek is very hard with a distance of approx 24 km, Located at 3,600 metres (11,800 ft) above sea level.
So we started trekking, the clouds were very dense in the sky that day. We had started trekking and the rain started. None of the three of us had a Raincoat. We were all riding on a horses and getting wet with rain, apart from we there were two shepherds with us,who were the owner of the horses.
After continuously running of two hours we reached at PUNG BUGYAL (पुंग बुग्याल) and we were all wet, our clothes were wet in the rain and we were started feeling cold. The rain was continuously occurring and i also wanted rain were not stopped because rain begins gently, stirrings of the heart, fumbles…just like it slowly forms in the clouds, builds up. And then, like newly-grown infatuation, it gently starts falling from the steps of the sky - and like love, grows, prospers, emerges into beautiful drops from the skies above us and this is my love for rain.
And now we go ahead for LITI BUGYAL our destination which is about 6 km from pun bugyal. From pun bugyal, we have to climb uphill through the damp forest and as we climb up you can see the change in atmosphere and the vegetation. You can experience the undefined beauty of nature and magnificent views of the villages and rivers located nearby as we climb up.

After trekking about 6 km upon the hilly ways through the dense forest we were reach liti bugyal. we were Take rest and get freshed , we were enjoy the breathtaking views of the nature and roll on the green carpet layed by the nature in LITI BUGYAL, now the rain had stopped and the sun had risen and i really very happy because the sun for a basic dream level indicates that you are currently feeling comfort and safety.
And after some rest we were start our trek for panar bugyal. It is about 4 km stiff climb from liti bugyal. As we climb towards panar we were see the beautiful view of Nanda Devi Peak,Hathi Parvat,Trishul Parvat and many more.

After reached in panar bugyal we were lunch here and we capture the beauty and wildlife of the mountains. The 360 degree Himalayan view from Panar will remain etched in my memory forever. The elegant Monal bird and grazing cattle add to the beauty.
PANAR BUGYAL TO RUDRANATH TEMPLE :-
Friends, Panar Bugyal's trekking, as you saw and read how beautiful and exciting it was, but now that which was ahead of it was no less than heaven. Now the weather had changed a bit, but the only difference was that now the weather was not like before, now it was not raining but also there was no sunlight. Now there was very cold wind but I love that weather because I love the feeling of the fresh air on my face and the wind blowing through my hair.I loved the feeling of freedom in running, the fresh air, the feeling that the only person I'm competing with is me and I'm a real nature lover, so whenever possible, I like to get to the forest or get somewhere there's fresh air. I love being outside and getting fresh air And Uttarakhand is the best place for this in India.
So now we were move for the pitradhar from Panar Bugyal and pitradhar, this place is famous as prayer is offered to ancestors here Chandrashila peak is visible now and we were enjoying the splendid view from here. I saw Himalayan Bird – MONAL here but unfortunately missed to capture the moment.
Pitradhar
our destination is very close from Pitradhar and now we reached DEVDARSHAN. As name sounds, first view of temple is visible from here.
DEVDARSHAN
And we crossed DEVDARSHAN. After crossing Devdarshan, we saw a very beautiful scene which were not less than heaven and I would not give one moment of heaven for all the joy and riches of the world, even if it lasted for thousands and thousands of years.
IN THE HEAVEN .

And then we finally reached there,You people will not believe we were so tired, but when we saw the first glimpse of the temple, we forget our complete fatigue. It is right, if you are in a beautiful place where you can enjoy sunrise and sunset then you are living like a lord When you leave a beautiful place, you carry it with you wherever you go.

you will witness beauty every step of the way,not just at the summit”.
Our tracking was complete and now we had a strict requirement of relaxation our horses were also too tired and then the owner of the horse left the horses in the open air for a while, and the scene was really very beautiful .
On a hike, the days pass with the wind, the sun, the stars; movement is powered by a belly full of food and water, not a noxious tankful of fossil fuels. On a hike, you're less a job title and more a human being. A periodic hike not only stretches the limbs but also reminds us: Wow, there's a big old world out there.
